This decision strengthens our mission to deliver faster insights, clearer analysis, and secure collaboration—while upholding the highest standards of responsible, ethical and trustworthy AI.

Microsoft Copilot is built on the Microsoft 365 security and compliance foundation.

Its commercial data protection (CDP) means user prompts and data are not used to train underlying AI models. The advanced Purview‑based safeguards introduced across 2025 means sensitive data is protected across our entire digital estate. In summary, content stays within our Microsoft 365 environment and is never repurposed for public AI training—an essential requirement for our regulated clients in healthcare and bioscience, as well as other sensitive research domains.

2. Deep, Seamless Integration Across Microsoft 365

Since our clients and our own colleagues rely heavily on Microsoft 365 applications, Copilot’s integration across Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint significantly enhances our productivity. The recent upgrades—including improved agent capabilities, smarter scheduling, and more powerful reasoning over documents—further streamlines collaborative workflows and insight generation.

4. Alignment with EU Expectations for Trustworthy AI (ALTAI Principles)

Customer Faithful made a commitment to responsible AI at the beginning of our journey adopting AI in 2018. We subsequently added a pledge to align with EU’s Assessment List for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (ALTAI) principles, which include a commitment to human oversight, where our AI adoption enhances, rather than replaces, human judgment. Microsoft Copilot’s design also aligns with ALTAI principles and was a non-negotiable commitment in our decision.

Copilot’s evolution in 2025 was a key reason why Customer Faithful has now chosen this software for 2026. We saw major improvements including better chat quality, GPT‑5 based reasoning, enhanced SharePoint and admin capabilities, and improved imaging understanding and creation. These advancements have proved in our testing to have provided richer insight summaries, better drafting, and more responsive support across our research workflows. Where we feel that it is in client’s best interests for us to utilise other AI platforms, we will continue to advise them of this in advance.
