Our response to Microsoft Copilot integrating Anthropic Cowork
Friday 13th March 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Customer Faithful welcomes the new Microsoft–Anthropic AI partnership – with the same strong protections for client data.
We believe that this partnership between Microsoft and AI company Anthropic will strengthen rather than change the way we already use artificial intelligence on behalf of clients in project work.
Microsoft has announced that its existing Copilot assistant will work alongside a new AI workspace, Cowork, which is designed to host multiple AI “agents”, including Anthropic’s Claude models. For organisations like Customer Faithful, which already operate within Microsoft 365, this is expected to broaden the range of AI tools available while keeping them inside a single, well‑governed platform.
Customer Faithful adopted Microsoft Copilot as our default AI assistant in early 2026, following extensive testing of quality, security, and governance. Our default policy is that AI work with clients takes place entirely within our Microsoft 365 environment, meaning project content is protected by enterprise‑grade security and is not used to train public AI models. Where we feel that it is in client’s best interests for us to utilise other AI platforms, we will continue to advise them of this in advance.
The new Microsoft–Anthropic collaboration does not alter these commitments. Any future use of Anthropic models for use in client work by Customer Faithful would be mediated through Microsoft’s secure infrastructure, with the same controls over identity, access, data residency, audit, and compliance that our clients rely on today.
For clients, this brings three main benefits:
• More capability, same guardrails – We will be able to evaluate and, where appropriate, selectively enable new Anthropic‑powered features from within Microsoft’s trusted environment, maintaining our existing privacy and governance standards.
• Richer insight generation – As Microsoft blends Copilot, Cowork and third‑party agents, we expect further gains in speed, clarity, and depth of analysis across interviews, documents, and data – helping us deliver more actionable insight from the same evidence base.
• Future‑proofed investment – By choosing Microsoft 365 and Copilot as our core AI platform, we gain access to an ecosystem where new, best‑in‑class models (such as Anthropic’s Claude) can be added safely over time, without clients needing to re‑assess multiple standalone tools.
Customer Faithful will continue to align its AI practice with the EU’s Assessment List for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (ALTAI), ensuring that AI supports, rather than replaces, human judgment in our research and consulting projects. Any expansion of our AI toolset following the Microsoft–Anthropic news will be managed through our existing governance processes and communicated transparently to clients.
